SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Freshman Keaton Wallace made six 3-pointers and scored 22 points, and Texas-San Antonio breezed to a 92-59 season-opening win over Division II East Central on Sunday.

George Wilborn III and Jhivvan Jackson each added 14 points for the Roadrunners.

Gabe McKenzie gave the Tigers their only lead of the game at 8-5. But the Roadrunners answered with a a 13-5 run and were never contested.

Willborn made a layup, Wallace and Austin Karrer added back-to-back 3-pointers and UTSA lead by double figures the rest of the way. The Roadrunners led 45-26 at halftime.

Da-Rion King made 11 of 14 free throws, and had 15 points and eight rebounds for East Central, which turned it over 19 times.

Texas-San Antonio has never lost in the five-game history between the two teams. UTSA won last season’s meeting 79-75 on Dec. 29 in its final non-conference game.
