NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Cameron Reynolds poured in 24 points, Melvin Frazier 19 and Tulane had six players reach double figures in a 102-96 shootout with LIU Brooklyn in the season opener for both teams Friday night.

Reynolds’ dunk gave Tulane a seven-point lead with 42 seconds left, but LIU Brooklyn rallied to 98-96 20 seconds later before Tulane put the game away with four straight free throws from Jordan Cornish and Reynolds. The Green Wave had built a 17-point lead late in the first half and went into the break ahead 52-38.

Cornish finished with 17 points, 7 of 9 from the foul line, and Samir Sehic also scored 17 and added 14 rebounds. Ray Ona Embo scored 11 points with nine assists and Colin Slater scored 10 points for Tulane.

Raiquan Clark scored a career high 34 points on 14 of 20 shooting for the Blackbirds. Joel Hernandez added 23.
