GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) - Harald Frey scored 12 of his 29 points in overtime to lift Montana State to an 89-80 victory over Omaha on Friday night in a season opener.
Frey scored the first six points in the extra period, making a 3 and converting a 3-point play to give the Bobcats a 74-68 lead. KJ Robinson made a jumper to pull Omaha to 78-72, but Tyler Hall answered with a 3-pointer and Frey made six free throws to seal it.
Frey made four 3-pointers and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds. Hall finished with 19 points and Keljin Blevins chipped in 17.
Daniel Norl scored 29 points to lead Omaha. Mitchell Hahn added 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Zach Jackson chipped in 12 points.
It was the Bobcats first game in Great Falls, Montana since December 1951.
