GALLOWAY, N.J. (AP) - The Latest on the debates in the New Jersey gubernatorial primary (all times local):
9:10 p.m.
Democrats running for New Jersey governor have targeted wealthy front-runner Phil Murphy during their first primary debate.
The debate Tuesday at Stockton University gave voters their first look at the Democratic and Republican candidates. The Republicans debated earlier in the day, attacking each other and distancing themselves from term-limited Republican Gov. Chris Christie.
Murphy served as an executive at Goldman Sachs. He highlights his middle-class roots.
His opponents relished the opportunity to compare him to former Democratic governor and Goldman executive Jon Corzine.
Assemblyman John Wisniewski says the state doesn’t need another “Goldman Sachs governor.” Former Clinton administration official Jim Johnson decries the idea of “more of the same.”
State Sen. Ray Lesniak highlights his experience as an Army veteran.

Democratic candidates vying to be their party’s nominee to succeed Republican Gov. Chris Christie are debating in New Jersey.
Jim Johnson, state Sen. Ray Lesniak, Phil Murphy and Assemblyman John Wisniewksi are taking part in a debate being held Tuesday at Stockton University in Galloway. Republicans Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno (gwah-DAHN’-yoh) and Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli debated earlier in the day.
The events were livestreamed on Facebook and were watchable from the university’s website.
Guadagno and Ciattarelli have tried to distance themselves from Christie, who is unpopular in polls.
The contest has been underway for months but has flown under the radar.
The primary is June 6. Christie is term-limited.
