LONGMONT, Colo. (AP) - Colorado officials say a second cyclist has died in a five day period.

The Daily Times-Calls reports (https://bit.ly/2qOWnmc ) a male cyclist died Monday after being struck with an SUV. Colorado State Patrol Trooper Nate Reid says the cyclist, who identity has not been released, died at the scene.

Reid says drug and alcohol were not involved in the incident. The driver involved in the crash has not been cited pending further investigation.

According to reports, the Monday incident is the second fatal cycling crash within a week in Boulder County. It is also the second 2017 cyclist fatality.

A 19-year-old cyclist from Brazil was hit by a pickup truck on Thursday.
