An anti-Trump political group spearheaded by Hillary Clinton may launch as soon as next week.

Onward Together, a political action committee expected to rise from the ashes of Mrs. Clinton’s failed presidential bid, will set its sights on President Trump in the near future. Sources told Politico on Thursday that a board of directors is taking shape in conjunction with the recruitment of investors.

Some of the key individuals involved in the PAC, first reported by Axios on Wednesday, include:

  • Dennis Cheng, the Clinton campaign’s finance director.
  • Judith McHale, who served as an undersecretary of state during Mrs. Clinton’s tenure with the Obama administration.
  • Minyon Moore, a long-time Democratic Party strategist.

“The new organization is not expected to have a large staff, but will instead focus on sending money to other organizations at a time that Democratic donors are largely unsure about how they should be spending their cash,” Politico reported Thursday.

The website added that former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean has also worked with Mrs. Clinton to find groups to fund.

News of Onward Together, similar to the failed Clinton campaign slogan “Stronger Together,” comes just days after Mrs. Clinton’s Tuesday appearance at a Women for Women International event in New York.

She used the occasion to once again blame FBI Director James Comey and Russian hackers for her doomed campaign.

“It wasn’t a perfect campaign, but I was on the way to winning until a combination of Comey’s letter and Russian WikiLeaks,” Mrs. Clinton told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, a reference to the agency’s probe into her secret email server as secretary of state. “The reason why I believe we lost were the intervening events in the last 10 days.”
