President Donald Trump slammed former National Security Adviser Susan Rice and the media in a series of tweets Thursday morning.

“Susan Rice, the former National Security Adviser to President Obama, is refusing to testify before a Senate Subcommittee next week on allegations of unmasking Trump transition officials. Not good!” Mr. Trump tweeted.

Ms. Rice declined to testify before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism because the request for her testimony came only from Republican Chairman Sen. Lindsey Graham, not ranking member Democrat Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, which is different than other bipartisan requests made to other witnesses.

Mr. Trump also hit the media, using his favorite line of “fake news.”

“The Fake News media is officially out of control. They will do or say anything in order to get attention — never been a time like this!”

But the president did have some positive words, congratulating “Fox & Friends” on their strong ratings.

“Congratulations to @foxandfriends on its unbelievable ratings hike.”

Mr. Trump has said “Fox & Friends” is one of the only morning shows he will watch.
