LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A computer software problem has kept people from parking in some city garages where there were plenty of empty spaces.
The Lincoln Journal Star reports (https://bit.ly/2qZBGRW ) the problem began last Friday evening. Digital signs on the parking garage entry lanes said the garages were full. The signs were wrong: There were open spaces, but the machines would not provide tickets and the gates would not rise.
City Urban Development Director David Landis told the newspaper that parking staff worked without success with the contractor through the weekend to try to correct the problem. The company went to the software designer on Monday to resolve the issue, and the problems were fixed by Wednesday.
