SAN DIEGO (AP) - Prosecutors say six people are facing felony charges stemming from an illegal hash oil manufacturing and distribution center in San Diego.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/2qfOkiv ) one of the defendants, 58-year-old Sean Slatic, is accused of using the illegal operation to bring in more than $3.2 million in profits in 2015 as CEO of two organizations.

Charges of manufacturing a controlled substance, conspiracy to obstruct justice, exporting more than four grams of concentrated cannabis, possession of illegal proceeds and money laundering had been filed Wednesday.

The charges are the result of a yearlong investigation conducted by the District Attorney’s Office, Drug Enforcement Administration, city of San Diego and San Diego Police Department.
