PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say a woman was wounded when she was shot by a police officer in Pine Bluff.

Arkansas State Police Trooper Liz Chapman says a Pine Bluff officer responding to a burglary call at an apartment complex about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday shot the 32-year-old woman after she allegedly pointed a weapon at officers in the parking lot of the complex.

No officers were injured.

The woman was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. Chapman says she will be taken to the Jefferson County Jail after being released from the hospital.

Arkansas State Police are investigating the shooting.
