CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The unemployment rate in Wyoming fell to 4.3 percent in April.

The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services says the jobless rate is a significant decrease from March’s 4.5 percent.

The April rate also is significantly lower than the 5.6 percent rate recorded in April 2016.

Among counties in the state, the highest unemployment rates last month were found in Fremont and Natrona counties, both at 5.5 percent. Campbell County was the third highest at 5.1 percent, followed by Teton County at 4.9 percent and Sublette County at 4.7 percent.

The lowest rates occurred in Albany at 2.6 percent, Goshen at 2.7 percent and Niobrara at 2.8 percent.
