NAPLES, Fla. (AP) - Outgoing Richmond athletic director Keith Gill is moving to a position with the Atlantic 10 Conference.
Commissioner Bernadette V. McGlade says Gill will be the league’s executive associate commissioner. Gill resigned at Richmond on May 10, citing personal matters. His resignation is effective June 30.
With the Atlantic 10, he will oversee community relations for the league’s men’s basketball championship and represent the A-10 on the NCAA Council.
McGlade said in a news release that the opportunity “to bring Keith and his experience onto the conference staff is a win-win for the A-10, University of Richmond and Keith.” She said Gill is a nationally respected administrator who made a very difficult decision to relocate to Washington, D.C., for important family reasons.”
Before spending almost 4 1/2 years at Richmond, Gill also worked for the NCAA, Oklahoma and American University.
