GILBERT, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Gilbert say a student at Perry High School has been arrested for allegedly making a threat against the school.
Police say the teenage boy could face felony charges in the case.
His name isn’t being released because he’s a juvenile.
Police say the student was taken into custody for investigation of disrupting an educational institution.
The teen allegedly made vague threats to the school earlier this month and police say they received new information last weekend that led to the boy’s arrest.
Perry High principal Dan Serrano said in an email to parents that the school and Chandler Unified School District officials have a zero tolerance policy toward any message or threat to staff and students and will work with law enforcement to pursue prosecution.
