ATLANTA (AP) - A 6-year-old girl is recovering after she was shot in the back in northwest Atlanta.

Local news outlets report that the child, Princess Jackson, was shot just before 9 a.m. Sunday when a stray bullet pierced her home and hit her in the neck. She remained alert, conscious and breathing as she was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Police say someone drove down the street and opened fire. Several bullets pierced cars outside the home. There are no suspects at this time.

Four other shootings were reported elsewhere in Atlanta on Sunday. Poilce say 38-year-old Terry Tolbert died after being shot twice in the face and three times in the chest.
