BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a 59-year-old man who was found dead at Loveland Ski Area west of Denver.

Kevin Edwards, a lawyer from Boulder, was reported missing Friday afternoon and was found in the West Ropes area of the resort about half an hour later. Ski patrollers performed CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Clear Creek County coroner’s office has not said how Edwards died.

Friend Lennard Zinn told The Boulder Daily Camera https://goo.gl/GwKLmm that Edwards was a very experienced skier who went on yearly heli-skiing trips.

The ski resort is about 50 miles (80 kilometers) west of Denver.
