NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Federal authorities say they’ve charged a woman who allegedly embezzled more than $940,000 from her employer.

Media outlets report acting U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans’ office said in a press release that 43-year-old Angie Cambre was charged on Wednesday with one count of wire fraud.

Cambre was hired in 2011 by a printing company that specializes in printing fliers and other materials geared toward the automotive industry.

According to court documents, Cambre embezzled more than $940,000 from the company in a series of 3,300 individual transactions. She allegedly directed payments from the company’s bank accounts to accounts under her control to repay personal debts.

Cambre could face up to 20 years in prison as well as a $250,000 fine. It’s unclear if Cambre has an attorney.
