SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Police have taken a second suspect into custody for last week’s killing of two California brothers.

The Sacramento Bee reports (https://bit.ly/2qnTQwz ) 21-year-old Richard Jefferson Saterfield had turned himself in on Saturday knowing he was wanted in connection to the shootings of 19-year-old Daniel Robert Murti and 15-year-old Sergio Murti.

On Friday, 20-year-old Hieu Hoang had been arrested on suspicion of murder. Saterfield and Hoang are scheduled for arraignment Tuesday.

The brothers had been walking along a road near their house when they were shot. Witnesses had said several gunshots were heard and two people fled in a light-colored SUV.

Police say there had been a previous encounter involving the suspects and the brothers. They say the shootings are not believed to be random, but a motive is unclear.
