LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Ten protesters have been arrested after blocking the entrance to a Louisville abortion clinic.

The Courier-Journal reports (https://cjky.it/2qDQIjd ) that Louisville Metro Police responded to a call Saturday morning about people loitering in front of the EMW Women’s Surgical Center.

The protesters were arrested for trespassing after refusing to move away.

The Rev. Joseph Spurgeon of the Sovereign King Church in Sellersburg, Indiana, says the protest was held at the Louisville abortion clinic because it is the last one operating in Kentucky.

The state has sought to shut down the clinic for being out of compliance with laws related to its agreements with a local hospital and ambulance service. A federal judge last month ordered the clinic to remain open until a lawsuit aimed at preventing its closure is resolved.
