The Congressional Budget Office announced Wednesday it intends to have a score for the House’s new health care bill the week of May 22.
The CBO and the staff of the Joint Committee on Taxation are currently reviewing the American Health Care Act for a cost-estimate. The CBO already released two scores on the legislation in March on the previous versions of the law.
The House Republicans passed the health care act last week without a CBO score, which was widely criticized even by members of their own party in the Senate. The CBO will need to review the bill again after it goes through the Senate.
