NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (AP) - Police in a Massachusetts city are warning of a “very dangerous batch” of heroin after a rash of overdoses.
Northampton police posted on Facebook on Saturday that the department responded to six overdoses in a 24-hour span. Five of those involved heroin. The post said police and firefighters used naloxone to revive the overdose victims.
Officer Michael Cronin told the Boston Globe the overdoses don’t seem to be concentrated among any specific population group. He described the dangerous lot of drugs as a “run-of-the-mill” bad batch.
