UNDERHILL, Vt. (AP) - A residential addiction treatment center that has filed for bankruptcy protection is seeking to auction off the assets at its site in Underhill, Vermont.

The Burlington Free Press reports (https://bfpne.ws/2pxJdGX ) that the trustee in the Maple Leaf Treatment Center bankruptcy case has filed a notice that he wants to sell the property inside the facility.

The filing says the assets include furniture, machinery, equipment, computer hardware and office supplies. A judge must approve the notice.

Maple Leaf’s Underhill and Colchester locations closed suddenly early this year. The treatment center filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in February.

The notice says the assets would start to be auctioned online and at the site starting on May 18.
