DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Police say a woman barged into her sister’s home and kidnapped their 93-year-old mother at knifepoint.

The incident occurred Saturday at the Daytona Beach home where Rebecca Jackson had been living with her other daughter, Betty Williams.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal (https://bit.ly/2mRZwA1 ) reports 59-year-old Gloria Shaheed is charged with kidnapping an adult and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

An arrest report says Williams told investigators her sister wanted to exploit their mother for her Social Security and disability checks.

Police say Jackson braced her arms and legs against Shaheed’s car door, fighting not to go. Someone called 911 and police found Jackson unharmed and took her home.

Shaheed told investigators she thought her sister was abusing the woman.

An attorney wasn’t listed for Shaheed.
