UNION CITY, N.J. (AP) - Investigators are trying to determine what caused a fire that claimed the life of a 1-year-old in Jersey City.
The fire began in a building on Summit Avenue early Saturday morning. It damaged four nearby buildings and a church.
The Union County prosecutor’s office says the body of Eddie Gonzalez Jr. was found after the blaze was under control.
His father, Eddie Gonzalez Sr., is in critical but stable condition. His mother was treated and released from a hospital.
