COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (AP) - A Council Bluffs woman has been arrested and charged after being accused of stealing more than $20,000 from her employer.

The Daily Nonpareil reports (https://bit.ly/2oHWg78 ) that 22-year-old Sierra Scheid was arrested Thursday afternoon at Bed Bath & Beyond in Council Bluffs after being confronted by a regional investigator for the business.

Police say Scheid told to the investigator and officers that she had stolen more than $20,000 during the past year.

Scheid was released from the Pottawattamie County Jail after posting $10,000 bond.

A phone number could not be found for Scheid, and no attorney is yet listed for her in online court records.
