PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - A Portland man has pleaded guilty to a federal gun charge in connection with a 2015 shooting and stabbing that left two men injured.

The Portland Press Herald reports (https://bit.ly/2mS5MYM ) that 28-year-old Moses Okot pleaded guilty Wednesday to being a felon in possession of a gun. He was initially accused of attempted murder.

Okot will serve the maximum of 10 years in prison under the plea deal.

Authorities said Okot shot and stabbed one man and shot another multiple times in downtown Portland in November 2015. Police had described the men’s injuries as non-life-threatening. Authorities said Okot had been on probation at the time for his involvement in a 2010 killing.
