PITTSBURGH (AP) - Keystone Oaks students are in their classrooms after a threatened teachers strike was averted.

The suburban Pittsburgh school district and the teachers’ union reached a tentative contract early Thursday. Details have not been released.

The district in Allegheny County serves students in Dormont, Green Tree and Castle Shannon.

The union, which represents 160 employees, has been working without a contract since June 30.
