SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Portions of five northern Utah counties are being warned about the possibility of weekend flooding, amid forecasts of rising temperatures melting heavy snow.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/2mlYtrq ) that Cache, Rich and the northeastern sections of Weber, Box Elder and Morgan counties were under a flood warning beginning Friday.
The advisory runs until Monday afternoon.
The National Weather Service says daytime temperatures should be in the 50s and low 60s on Saturday, and rain is possible on Sunday.
It says soils are already saturated in northern Utah.
The cities of Ogden, Logan, Brigham City and Tremonton are in the flood warning area.
