ATLANTA (AP) - Prosecutors say a teenager has been sentenced to more than 25 years in prison in the shooting death of a 17-year-old boy in Atlanta.

Fulton County District Attorney spokesman Dontaye Carter tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (https://on-ajc.com/2oadSMA ) that Tellisavoris Demon Floyd was convicted of murder Monday for killing Sean Michael Turner in a drug deal that turned into a carjacking.

Police say Floyd along with his friend wanted to buy marijuana and met with Floyd and Cornelius Seaburm to complete the deal.

Carter says Floyd and Seaburm pulled guns on Floyd and his friend to steal Floyd’s car. Floyd charged the car, opened the driver’s door and shot in the stomach.

Carter says Seaburm will be tried at a later date. He was indicted on murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery and weapons charges.
