The popularity of Obamacare is on the rise, following the failure of President Trump and House GOP leaders to pass a bill that overhauls the nation’s health care system, according to a new poll.
A Politico/Morning Consult poll found that half of U.S. voters now approve of the Affordable Care Act, which then-President Barack Obama signed into law in 2010, and that 37 percent of voters support the GOP’s continued push to repeal and replace the law.
The support marks a 4 percent spike in approval from a week ago, the poll analysis said.
Support for another push to replace the law breaks along partisan lines.
Among Republicans, 62 percent said GOP lawmakers should continue with efforts to repeal and replace the law, compared to 33 percent of independents and 18 percent of Democrats.
