CHICAGO (AP) - A Chicago man wanted in connection with an alleged carjacking spree has been arrested in Georgia and extradited to Illinois.

Chicago police announced Monday that Carnell King faces four felony counts of aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm. The 19-year-old King was located in Atlanta and arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service.

Authorities allege King on Jan. 10 carjacked his first auto around 7 a.m. on Chicago’s South Side. The second carjacking occurred six hours later on the city’s West Side when King allegedly pulled a gun on a person and demanded their car.

A third carjacking attempt in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood failed after the driver disabled the keys. The fourth carjacking occurred a few minutes later when he allegedly fired several before driving off with a luxury automobile.

It wasn’t immediately known if King has obtained legal representation.
