The fate of the Republican health care bill won’t affect the rest of President Trump’s agenda, the White House said Friday.

As the bill to repeal and replace Obamacare headed toward a tough vote in the House, White House press secretary Sean Spicer said that regardless of the outcome there was still a “huge appetite” for the president’s tax reform and immigration agenda.

“You can’t tie any of these things together,” Mr. Spicer said at the daily White House press briefing.

He stressed that he remained optimistic that the health care bill would pass, as he was peppered with reporters’ questions about how the bill appeared doomed because of lack of support from conservative lawmakers.

“Regardless of what happens today,” he said. “that doesn’t mean whether it’s immigration or tax reform that there isn’t huge appetite out there.”
