PHOENIX (AP) - A Phoenix man accused of plotting to carry out a “lone wolf” attack inspired by the Islamic State has bonded out of jail.
Derrick Thompson was released on Monday after posting a $75,000 bond. He has pleaded not guilty to charges that he supported the terror group.
Thompson was arrested Dec. 20 after being watched by the FBI for more than two years, and he was subsequently indicted on charges of assisting a criminal syndicate, attempting to commit misconduct involving weapons and inciting or inducing a criminal syndicate.
