Mother, daughter are found slain in townhome near Atlanta

LITHONIA, Ga. (AP) - Police say they’re investigating the killing of a mother and her daughter outside Atlanta.

DeKalb County police Lt. Rod Bryant says officers found the two women dead in a Lithonia townhome around 3 a.m. Wednesday.

Bryant tells WSB-TV (https://2wsb.tv/2mPiqD4 ) that the mother was in her early 40s, and the daughter was in her early 20s.

Police said an about 8-month-old baby inside the home at the time of the shooting is safe.

Lithonia is about 20 miles southeast of Atlanta.
