OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) - A Florida couple is suing an Ocean City condominium building following a 2015 Legionnaire’s disease outbreak.

The Daily Times of Salisbury (https://delmarvane.ws/2m0dIna) reports the lawsuit was filed Monday in Baltimore against the Golden Sands Club Condominiums. It’s the second lawsuit to allege that the company failed to correct the issue inside its 22-story building.

The newspaper was unable to reach condominium officials for comment.

Mary Ann and Ronald Budra, of Bonita Springs, Florida, say they were staying in the building in 2015 when Mary Budra was hospitalized and tested positive for Legionnaire’s disease, a potentially deadly form of pneumonia contracted through water mist or vapor containing a bacteria called Legionella.

Mary Budra says she has ongoing lung issues.

The lawsuit says health officials later detected the bacteria in the building.
