BARNSTABLE, Mass. (AP) - A former Yarmouth police officer is facing sex trafficking and child enticement charges.

The Cape Cod Times (https://bit.ly/2m0j8BM ) reports that 68-year-old Richard Morrison is free on $500 bail after pleading not guilty last week to trafficking of a person for sexual servitude, selling or delivering liquor to a person under 21, and two counts of enticing a child under 16.

Yarmouth police confirm that Morrison was an officer in town from 1971 until 1992.

Police have revoked his license to carry firearms and seized his firearms and ammunition. The state Department of Children and Families has been informed.

No additional information was released because of the Massachusetts rape shield law and confidentiality concerns for the alleged victims.

A listed phone number for Morrison was out of service.
