The warm weather is coming to an end after one last hurrah in northern New England.

The National Weather Service says temperature climbed Wednesday to 63 degrees, 2 degrees shy of the daily record in Concord, New Hampshire.

It was a different story with the sea breeze on the Maine coast. Portland failed to reach 50 degrees, far short of the record of 58 degrees.

It’s downhill for the rest of the week.

Meteorologist Bob Marine says the high temperatures will lose about 10 degrees on Thursday and again on Friday, and will be in the 20s and 30s this weekend.

The colder temperatures are going to be tough to take after record warmth. Last week, Concord experienced the highest temperature ever recorded in February: 69 degrees.
