ERIE, Pa. (AP) - A Pennsylvania contractor will pay more than $450,000 in restitution after pleading no contest to charges that he took money from dozens of customers for work he never completed.

The Erie Times-News reports (https://bit.ly/2s3FncW ) that 60-year-old Lloyd A. Davis, of Erie, entered the plea Tuesday to more than 40 criminal charges. Prosecutors dropped other charges as part of a plea deal.

Davis was accused of taking money from 40 customers starting in November 2013 for home-improvement jobs he never finished. He was also charged with writing a bad check.

Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 2. Prosecutors say, in addition to the restitution, Davis faces a maximum penalty of nearly 350 years in prison and $820,000 in fines.
