MORAGA, Calif. (AP) - Police in Northern California say officers arrested an Uber driver who was accused by a female passenger of sexually attacking her.

The Moraga Police Department said Tuesday that 42-year-old Leonid Beker was arrested in San Francisco on suspicion of sexual battery.

It says the attack happened on May 26 as Beker was driving the woman from Oakland to Moraga.

The victim told police that before they reached her destination in Moraga, Beker stopped the car and got into the back seat with the woman and sexually battered her.

Officers were able to identify Beker with the help of the victim and traffic cameras in Moraga.

Beker was booked into the Contra Costa County jail in Martinez for felony sexual battery. He was later released after posting bail.
