SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) - A temporary protection order against a Pennsylvania state lawmaker whose wife alleged that he hit her in the head has been withdrawn by mutual agreement.
The (Scranton) Times-Tribune (https://bit.ly/2qTJZxM ) reports that the order issued May 19 against Democratic Rep. Kevin Haggerty was withdrawn in Lackawanna County Court.
A related stipulation and by Judge Andy Jarbola gives Jennifer Haggerty, who has filed for divorce, possession of the couple’s Dunmore home and bars each party from harassing, stalking or antagonizing the other.
Jennifer Haggerty said her husband accused her of being out late and threw two water bottles at her, striking her in the face. She said he has previously attacked her, including in front of their children. He faces a June 21 trial on a summary harassment citation.
