SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Police in Syracuse say a homicide investigation is underway after a 21-year-old man died from a gunshot wound.

Officials say officers were called to the Barnes Avenue around 11:20 p.m. Monday for a report of a shooting. When police arrived on the scene they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to Upstate University Hospital, where he died a short time later. Police on Tuesday identified him as Rasheed Baker of Syracuse.

No arrests have been reported and police say they have no information on a possible suspect at this time.
