Not even a record-setting night for LeBron James could help stop the Golden State Warriors in Game 2 of the NBA Finals Sunday.
But James still managed to tie the NBA Finals record for most triple-doubles with eight. He now shares the record with Magic Johnson.
James had 29 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists in the Cavaliers 132-113 loss.
Awesome to share the most triple doubles in NBA Finals history with the future HOF @KingJames.
— Earvin Magic Johnson (@MagicJohnson) June 5, 2017
James is making his seventh straight finals appearance and eighth overall. His first finals triple-double came in 2011 against the Dallas Mavericks when he posted a 17-10-10.
James’ teams are 4-4 when he posts a triple-double in the finals.
