UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) - Authorities say a man driving a stolen motorcycle died in a collision with a car in Maryland.

Maryland State Police say the crash happened Saturday in Upper Marlboro. State Police say a preliminary investigation revealed that before the crash, the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Maryland Route 202 when the driver of a Nissan attempted to make a left turn and the vehicles collided.

State Police say the motorcycle’s driver died as a result of the crash. State Police identified him as 36-year-old Michael R. Davis of the District of Columbia. State Police say the motorcycle was listed as stolen through Howard County and that the tags were listed as stolen through Virginia.

All four of the Nissan’s passengers were teenagers. One had minor injuries from the crash.
