Subscribers to DirecTV and AT&T U-Verse now have another right-leaning news channel in the lineup as of Friday, The Hollywood Reporter said.

NewsmaxTV now is available to some 40 million subscribers of prepaid satellite or cable TV, the channel said in a news release, THR reported. The three-year-old network was dropped from DirecTV and DISH in 2016, and a source told THR that a return to the latter was in talks.

NewsmaxTV is also available for free via over-the-top (OTT) video platforms like Roku, AppleTV and Amazon Fire TV as well as YouTube livestream feed. The channel also archives content for free on YouTube.

In recent years outlets like NewsmaxTV, One America News Network (OAN), Glenn Beck’s The Blaze and Mark Levin’s Conservative Review TV (CRTV) have launched as alternatives to Fox News Channel, previously the only right-leaning cable-news network.

Like NewsmaxTV, OAN is available on DirecTV and various cable or fiber-optic providers, as well as by OTT streaming apps on platforms like Roku and AppleTV in addition to traditional cable or fiber-optic carriers. The Blaze is available on some OTT apps, as well as the DISH network, Verizon FiOS and various cable providers in the United States.

CRTV, by contrast, is not available by any traditional cable or satellite carriers and uses a paid-subscription model, costing users $99 annually or $10 to access content.
