DOVER, Del. (AP) - State Police in Delaware are investigating after a robbery in the parking lot of a shopping plaza in Dover.
Delaware State Police say it happened Wednesday afternoon as a man was preparing to remove laundry from his car while parked in front of a laundromat on South Bay Road. Delaware State Police said in a statement that the man was approached by two male suspects and that one of the suspects implied he had a gun. State Police say the two suspects then took the man’s cell phone, keys and an electronic device before fleeing in a car driven by a third suspect.
State Police say the car the man fled in was a newer model Mercury or Lincoln with possible New Jersey registration.
