SAN DIEGO (AP) - A North American Soccer League team will begin play in San Diego County next spring.

The expansion team is backed by an ownership group that includes soccer stars Demba Ba, Eden Hazard, Yohan Cabaye and Moussa Sow, and local businessmen.

The team expects to unveil its name and other details in the coming months.

Local businessman Bob Watkins will serve as team president. He said there are plans to build a $15 million, 10,000-seat stadium in northern San Diego County.
