BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Eli Tomac won the Tennessee National on Saturday at wet and slippery Muddy Creek Raceway for his second Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship victory of the year.

The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider from Cortez, Colorado, won the second moto after finishing second in the opener. He has seven career 450 Class victories, also winning the opener at Hangtown in California.

“It’s been a long time coming and it feels really good to get another win today,” Tomac said. “I had a few off weeks, some struggles, but some days are good and some days are not so good. I went home and tried to fix the bad things and come back better improved into this weekend. I’m looking forward to the rest of the season as I feel some of my best tracks are coming up.”

Husqvarna’s Jason Anderson was second overall. He won the first moto and was second in the second.

Points leader Blake Baggett was third after finishing third in each moto. The KTM rider has a four-point lead over Tomac after five of 12 events.

Yamaha’s Aaron Plessinger won the 250 Class event for his first victory of the year and second overall. He won the first moto and was second behind Husqvarna’s Zach Osborne in the second.

“It was an awesome first moto and such a good feeling to finally grab another win,” Plessinger said. “I grabbed the holeshot and just opened a little gap and rode my own race for the win. The second moto went pretty good as well, but Zach was riding awesome and ended up getting around me. I just kind of brought it home for second and did what I needed to take the overall.”

Osborne was second overall. He finished fifth in the first moto.

Kawasaki’s Austin Forkner was third after finishing third in each moto.

Osborne has a 31-point lead over KTM’s Alex Martin. Martin was fourth overall, finishing fourth in each moto.
