PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Officials say a utility worker was killed while working on a power line during an outage in suburban Philadelphia.

Radnor Township police say 62-year-old Walter Carter was electrocuted in an accident Wednesday morning.

When police officers arrived, a co-worker told them that Carter was still inside an elevated bucket. Fire crews helped to lower the bucket and the line worker was found inside unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Carter worked for PECO, a Philadelphia energy company, for 31 years. Delaware County Councilman Dave White said Carter leaves behind a wife and two daughters.
