SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Three Sacramento residents are accused of using fake vacation holds and address changes to steal mail and commit identity theft.

The Sacramento Bee reports (https://bit.ly/2sANQS3 ) a federal grand jury on Friday brought an eight-count indictment against 32-year-old Latomba Bishop, 33-year-old Joshua Yadon and 36-year-old Norman Thompson.

The three people are accused of using stolen personal information to fraudulently obtain credit cards, checks and merchandise. They are accused of ordering the items to the victims’ real addresses, and then filing false vacation holds and change-of-address forms to have the items sent elsewhere.

The case resulted from an investigation by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, with assistance from the Davis and Woodland police departments, and the Sacramento County Probation Department.
