In just a week since the NBA Finals ended, the NBA offseason has provided all sorts of entertainment. The Celtics traded the No. 1 pick. Paul George wants out of Indiana.

But does it really start until LeBron James gets involved?

James sent out a tweet late Monday throwing shade at the Cleveland Cavaliers after they announced they would part ways with David Griffin, their now former general manager. Griffin, of course, made a series of moves to help secure a championship in 2016.

ESPN reported James was “surprised” that Griffin would not return despite having stalled contract negotiations throughout the year. Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert has never given a general manager a contract extension. Griffin’s contract was set to expire June 30.

Former point guard Chauncey Billups is supposedly the front-runner for the job, Yahoo Sports reported

James can opt out of his contract in 2018, prompting speculation he could leave Cleveland again. This could be another sign it might actually be possible.
