CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Gov. Henry McMaster is spending some time on South Carolina’s coast to talk with officials about preparations for this year’s hurricane season.

McMaster’s office says he’s meeting with emergency management officials Friday in Georgetown, Charleston and Beaufort counties.

After each meeting, McMaster is planning to talk to members of the media about statewide hurricane season preparations.
